I really like this idea. I think that if it was animated it would be really interesting. Maybe if it is animated you could do one half in color and the other half black and white to show a contrast. I also think that the sounds work well.
I want to note that I left out all clocks in BOTH panels to make it clear that we can all run on either a natural clock or a mechanical clock. Since mechanical time is in a way fabricated. This is also why I will have the same character for each type of time.
I think that you should actually shoot it, not animate it. But be particular about your lighting, maybe do something cool with that? The sounds are very successful and clear and help portray what is going on so the imagery could be minimal.
I agree that the sounds are good, but I feel like the sounds you added apply only to mechanical time and not body time, even though you are showing both in this animation. So, for example, maybe you could add sounds of a person snoring to contrast the telephone noises and such?
I love your sounds. It is the only video so far that i have watched that has sound in it, and I think it works really well. I think you should try for an animation and agree with meghans idea of not have both be the same color palette, but I don't know if I would go black and white on one. because then it makes it seem like one is really better than the other or one is a dream vs. reality and I do no think that it was you are trying to say
i think this would be cool as an animation, you seem to be pretty good at it. i'm not so keen on the idea of having the body time representation being a person in bed all day though. i liked the idea we talked about in class where you had the body time person getting to work at the same time, but doing things out of order and at a different pace.

ReplyDeleteI agree with meghan about the animation. But not so sure about the black and white. It would give me a whole different meaning with that.
